About Me

I spent five years at Flow Traders designing, building, and operating highly automated trading systems, alongside leading trading desks and owning business-critical internal applications.

Over the last year, I’ve focused on transitioning into full-time software development — building production-ready products end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through to release. Most recently, I built Fittr, a privacy-first iOS fitness tracker designed around a local-only, offline-first data model.

Independent Mobile Developer Fittr: Strength & Nutrition

June 2025 - Present

Fittr is a privacy-first iOS fitness tracker for logging nutrition, workouts and body metrics with a local-only, account-free design.

  • Designed and built a production app from scratch to App Store release, owning architecture, implementation and release processes.
  • Implemented a local-only data architecture prioritising performance, offline usage, and user privacy
  • Integrated external food databases (Open Food Facts, USDA) with barcode scanning, search and fallback flows
  • Built on-device analytics and custom visualisations for progress tracking, personal records, and historical trends
  • Designed app branding, screenshots, and previews in Figma
Professional Development & Independent Projects

March 2024 - June 2025

During a paid non-compete period I focussed on technical upskilling and independent software projects in preparation for a transition to full-time development.

  • Algorithmic trading research project with automated trade execution infrastructure via broker APIs
  • Completed Advent of Code 2024, strengthening data structures, algorithms, and problem solving while learning C#
  • Developed a personal portfolio website, built an interactive Game of Life web app

  • Designed and operated highly automated algorithmic trading systems
